I often say that other people can easily “out smart” or “out think” me, but they will never “out hustle” me. I’m completely and totally relentless in my pursuit of goals and dreams in life – perhaps sometimes to my fault. Yet, overall it has served me well in life.
I’ve been down just about as far as a person can go.
I’ve been broke more times than I care to remember. Lost everything and had to start over again several times. Been homeless. Been hated. Been criticized. Ridiculed. Called every imaginable name you can think of. Had “friends” turn their back on me.
But, I didn’t quit.
I didn’t stop.
I didn’t let what others said or thought of me determine my destiny.
Does that make me better than other people? Of course not.
But, it means that at the end of the day I can say with total confidence that I didn’t let other people steal my dreams.
Some people call it stubbornness. Others call it bulldog tenacity.
I just like to sum it up as “Relentless.”
Of all the character traits you might adopt in life, I hope you adopt a “relentless” characteristic. I hope you too will refuse to give up on your dreams. Refuse to let others deter you from achieving your goals.
Galileo said, “Nature is relentless and unchangeable, and it is indifferent as to whether its hidden reasons and actions are understandable to man or not.”
Stop worrying about what other people think, and become relentless in your pursuit of your vision, your goals, your dreams.
Will you fail? Of course!
Will you make mistakes? Yup!
When you do, pick yourself back up, dust yourself off, put the blinders on, go back to work, and be relentless!
